of the Ted Haddin Scholarship.
She attended the Universal
Ballet Academy in Washington,
D.C. in 2005-06 on a
scholarship. Her teacher was
Angelina Armaenskaya. She
will be attending the Stevan
Grebel Center for Dance this
summer and in the fall.

Grebel Dance student Vivian Delchamps ’10 will to travel to Europe as a Student Ambassador with People to People for three weeks and then live with a family in Serbia studying ballet. She will study with the Grebel Ballet Workshop in Novi- Sad after. She studied with Dmitri Roudnev at the Ballet Moscow Intensive in Illinois summer 'o6, and also with Grebel Dance at the 2006 Summer Intensive. She attends Indian Springs Baccalaureate High School., and will be a People to People Ambassador to Europe in summer '07, as well as study with Grebel Workshops in Novi-Sad, Serbia.

Anna-Laura Bergmann is a
graduate of the Alabama School of
Fine Arts. She is now attending
Birmingham-Southern College.
The Grebels visited the Novi-Sad
Ballet School recently in Stevan's
home town. Dobrila Novkov
teaches the graduating class of the
Russian-based school. Stevan
Grebel began his dance studies in
this studio.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
We congratulate
Chandler Champion a
student at Grebel Dance.
Amanda was recently
awarded 1st place and
Chandler was awarded 4th
in the Miss Alabama
Outstanding Teen
pageant, a division of the
Miss America system. She
won evening wear and a
one year scholarship. The
competition included 37
teens from around the
state competing for
scholarship money.
Pageant categories of
competition consisted of
talent, fitness, evening
wear, interview, and
on-stage questions.
Amanda also won
preliminary awards in
talent and evening wear.
Ted Haddin, retired English professor
from UAB, and ballet/arts cultural

is the philanthropist for the Grebel
Dance- Haddin Scholarship, a
program for exceptional students of
classical ballet. Rebekah received a
full scholarship to the Stevan Grebel
Center for Dance for the Dmitri
Roudnev Master Class Weekend.
Rebekah is the daughter of Jack
and Shelley Harris of Homewood.
Jakob Icimsoy , the 2006

Zeki Icimsoy is a
home-schooler and attends
Grebel Dance. HIs father, Sukru
played the Burgemeister in
"Coppelia." Audrey Henson is
a student at Riverchase Middle
School and also competes in
ice-skating at Pelham Civic
Complex.
Grebel Dance student Haley
Ingrum attended the ABT
Summer Dance Camp in New
York this summer. She has
received scholarships and
acceptances to Universal
Ballet, ABT, Philadanco,
ADT, Washington Ballet,
Birmingham-Southern
College, and Alabama Ballet.
She attended the Universal
Ballet Academy in
Washington, D.C. in summer
2005 (formerly the Kirov
Academy) and was offered a
scholarship to attend
during the 2005-06 school
year. She also attended
the Stevan Grebel Center
for Dance Summer
Intensive.
Christine McBride is a student at JCIB and takes regular classes as well as private coaching from Stevan Grebel. She has been accepted to various summer dance programs including ABT, Joffrey, Kirov Academy, Alabama Ballet and others.

Raquel Martin, a student
of Huntington College and
has studied with the
Grebels for over 10 years.
Raquel is fulfilling her
desire to finish her college
education before she
takes on her professional
career in dance.
Jordan Sizemore is on the dance
team at Hoover High School and is
a member of the Alabama Youth
Ballet. She is the third recipient of
the Ted Haddin Scholarship.
Laura Ann Brown, of Gadsden, studies at Grebel Dance. She teaches liturgical dance in Gadsden. Laura Ann is a homeschooler and was the state champion of the National Spelling Bee last year.

Middle School and is a
member of the Alabama
Youth Ballet Company. She
also sings in the school
concert choir.
Elizabeth Archer is a
home-schooler and also
dances with the Alabama
Youth Ballet Company.
